Streamlining clinical data flow: Integration-free EHR-to-EDC and automated data capture

Manual transcription of patient health records, lab results and other source data into EDC forms has always been a source of frustration for site users and a heavy workload for clinical research associates. While solutions like traditional EHR-to-EDC integrations exist to partly automate data capture, they are frequently hindered by complex implementations, high costs, and site authorization requirements, leaving many clinical trial sites without a viable solution.

In this session co-hosted by CRScube and Mednet, we introduce our new integration-free EHR-to-EDC and automated data capture feature. We perform a live demonstration showing how site staff capture data from various sources directly within cubeCDMS EDC without manual re-entry. The demo showcases how this solution enables higher data quality while supporting remote source data verification, leading to a more efficient clinical data flow.

Key takeaways

  • Eliminate errors at entry: Learn how this technology replaces manual transcription and reduces data entry errors at the point of capture.

  • Reduce monitoring workload: Discover strategies to simplify source data verification (SDV) and decrease overall query management burdens.

  • Boost cross-functional efficiency: Explore how higher initial data quality elevates speed and productivity across monitoring and data management teams.
