From our operations leaders David Im & Marci Mogg
Two paths. One shared purpose.
In a recent post, we introduced the people shaping the direction of CRScube and Mednet. Today, we are turning our attention to two leaders whose very different journeys have led them to a surprisingly similar place: a deep commitment to users, an instinct for collaboration, and a grounded understanding of what makes clinical trials work.
David and Marci come from opposite sides of the world and different sides of clinical operations. Yet when you hear them speak, you quickly realize how aligned they truly are.
Two careers shaped by real-world clinical experience
Both leaders built their expertise through direct exposure to the daily realities of clinical research, in uniquely personal ways.
David spent more than a decade working hands-on in hospitals and CROs. As he puts it,“I don't just view our software as code; I see it through the eyes of the users.” His time as a clinical research coordinator, then as a data manager, shaped the way he approaches product design today, always grounding technology in clinical reality.
Marci’s roots look different but carry the same thread. Having spent 18 years at Mednet, she still draws inspiration from her earliest role at a non-profit CRO: “Experiencing that early on in my career has stayed with me and keeps all the different roles (investigator, coordinator, patient, etc.) in my mind every day.”
David and Marci both began by seeing research up close, not from a distance. It not only shapes how they interact with clients, but also the energy and direction they inject in their work daily.
A shared belief in listening, and a shared determination to act
When asked about client feedback, both David and Marci gravitate toward comments that reflect ease, clarity, and trust.
David says that the best feedback from a client is when they tell him: “Your solution is intuitive.” It is simple, yet powerful. For him, reducing complexity is a sign of respect to users, and a way to honor the time and focus of the people running trials.
Marci, meanwhile, finds energy in the weekly customer service surveys she reviews. She referred to a client comment that particularly stayed with her: “Mednet always listens to customers. It is noticed and appreciated!” Marci and the wider Mednet organization cultivate the art of truly listening, leading to better understanding and more appropriate acting.
Across two companies and two histories, their touchpoints with customers tell the same story: listen, understand, respond.
Different strengths, perfectly complementary
CRScube and Mednet bring together teams with deep, lived clinical and operational experience, and Marci and David each embody different facets of that strength.
David emphasizes the technical-and-operational hybrid expertise within CRScube: “Our Product Managers understand the system's architecture inside and out. Many of our key leaders have personally set up and managed over 50 studies each.”
In a similar way, Marci highlights Mednet’s unmatched tenure and consistency: “Our customer support team has an average of 10 years of experience at Mednet. This experience gives them the ability to help our clients navigate through any phase efficiently and accurately.”
Together, the joint CRScube and Mednet team creates a broader, richer foundation – and both leaders see this as a clear opportunity for the future of the company.
One shared approach to the road ahead
Joining two businesses is a difficult task, one that presents risks and that could lead to surprises, good and bad. As they consider the transition phase ahead, both David and Marci have their eyes fixed on the end goal, and a sense of how to get there.
David approaches the transition with a steady focus: “We must ensure that we continue to strengthen what each company already does exceptionally well. By aligning on a shared mid-to-long-term vision, we will identify specific areas where our combined resources can create new value.”
Marci shares David’s vision, approaching this transition one step at a time, beginning with openness and curiosity: “The first step is collaboration; both teams get to share their knowledge and expertise to help make the whole team stronger overall.”
They both speak of structure, vision, connection and learning – pointing toward a merger defined not by disruption, but by collective progress.
A stronger future
What becomes clear when speaking with David and Marci is not how different they are, but how naturally their perspectives complement each other. Both leaders speak the language of their users. Both see feedback as fuel. Both are committed to building solutions that make clinical work simpler, not harder.
Their alignment reflects the values at the core of both companies: responsiveness, trust, and genuine care for the people behind every study. And that shared foundation is what ensures the combined organisation will continue delivering meaningful, reliable impact for years to come.
